Flash back – Black Eyes and Blue

While I’m busy creating a new music video for you guys, I’ll take you down memory lane once again, and remember the ‘Black Eyes and Blue’ video with you.

Fun facts about ‘Black Eyes and Blue’:

  • This song is really about domestic violence, and is to me quite a tragic song. But most people experience it as a euphoric happy song.
  • A few of the people crashing the pool party at the end is actually on the Norwegian national team of snowboarding.
  • This song marked our ‘break-through’ in the music industry, when it became the official after movie track of the Ultra Festival, something we were the only Norwegian artists to achieve, until Kygo came along and did it, and people totally forgot about us already having been there.
  • Songwriter and vocals on this is the incredible Ingrid, the lead singer of HIGHASAKITE.

Sorry!

I’ve been slightly off the grid lately. I was on the road for most of the easter holiday, and basically have had to jump from flight to flight. Currently I’m somewhere over the Atlantic, on my way to Los Angeles to film the music video for my new single coming out in early May! I’m so excited about this shoot, Frederic Esnault have put together a fantastic team, and my two featuring artists are absolutely fantastic. Pontus and Jens of P & J Styling have packed me a wild wardrobe and I’m crazy about one leather jacket I’m going to wear, which is customized by Norwegian brand Mardou & Dean. So do stay tuned for another while longer!

Letgo

You might remember a while back, I told you about the PO-14 SUB, the Pocket Synth from Teenage Engineering. It’s such a joy to play with, and I’ve used it a lot lately. But now, you can have it! I’m selling it on Letgo! Watch the video below (It’s in Norwegian, sorry.), and pick up the synth HERE. (Only for Norwegians, sorry.). If you want to get shopping in your own area, you can download the app HERE.

Thank You, Stavkroa!

The gig at Stavkroa was as fun as ever. Thank you to everyone who came out, and to Calle and his crew for the superstar treatment. Can’t wait to come back ❤

Getting ready for Hemsedal

It’s such a pleasure to play in Hemsedal. This place does not only hold one of the wiildest afterskis in the world, but it’s also home to the best promoter and host, Calle. I love doing gigs in collaboration with him. He’s such a pro and great guy. Make sure you stop by Stavkroa or Hemsedal Café if you’re in the area!

Today we’ve spent some time getting ready for tonights show, which means drinking prosecco in the slopes, without actually getting any skiing done. Even though we’re avid skiers, we forgot to take our skis with us. Maybe thankfully so, as there was an avalanche in the slopes today (nobody was hurt), and with our luck we’d probably be the ones who got the blame for it.

Anyway, so ready for tonight!

Baph wasn’t happy about the cold and snow, but he was kept warm by his Canada Pooch jacket my mother gave him for Christmas.

The Voice

I’ve keeping this secret for a while now, and finally it’s official. I’ll be one of four mentors on the Norwegian version of The Voice! This is the first time ever a non-vocal artist will be mentoring, and it’s so scary and fun! I hope to see a lot of talents that I can take to the next level, and if you’re a Norwegian aspiring popstar, you should apply by March 8th!
