Next up: Kick Kristiansand!

It’s almost time! If you’re in the area, I hope I’ll see you there!

Best gig of 2016

Talking about my first gig of 2017 had me thinking of my 2016 gigs. I love touring, so almost every gig is the best. But the best gig of 2016 has to be the I did in Tønsberg, a small Norwegian city which really comes to life during summer. My friend Andreas had come all the way to Norway from LA and sailed his boat down the coast to attend the concert, I had loads of friends coming and the place was packed to the brim. Check out a video from the night below. 🙂

I didn’t have a lot of negative experiences last year, luckily. But I did have a “sound technician” trying to blow my ear drums out in a different small Norwegian city. For me, with tinnitus and everything, bad sound technicians can be fatal to my hearing but I managed to save my ears this time as well. But I don’t think I’ll go back there, and hopefully, I won’t have to work with this technician again either.

It’s album time

My album was supposed to come out spring ’16. Obviously, that didn’t happen. I was working in the studio, and tracks just kept coming to me. My label didn’t want me to kill my flow, so I just made track, upon track until I had way too many of them.

Baphliff, my dog, is an important part of my studio life.

Before Christmas we sat down, and tried to choose the right ones for the album. The hardest thing I’ve ever done! So now I’m back in the studio, putting the finishing touches on my debut album, and I’m so excited to get it ready and out there this spring. 2016 was such a hard, but inspiring year for me and I think that’s going to be evident in the final product. I’ve worked with some amazing people, and I feel even more humbled than before that I get to do what I love.

Awkward selfie stick moment!

Can’t wait for you to hear it!

First gig of 2017

My first gig of 2017 is coming up next weekend, and I’m really anxious to get back on the road.

In 2016, I made quite a few changes to CLMDs foundation. I had to make sure that, with Carl gone, I was backed up by people that understood and respected my vision for the CLMD brands future. This meant saying goodbye to a lot of great people I’ve worked with for a long time, both in management and booking. It’s been a tough year, with endless hard work and painful decisions. I’m so ready to start back up with the hard work again, and continue on the CLMD journey with new people, new inspiration and hopefully plenty of new adventures.

Tomorrow, I’m doing a little unofficial warm-up for the coming year by playing at a friends birthday/fare well party, and next weekend you’ll see me at Kick in Kristiansand!

Favorite tracks of 2016 – The Mixtape

Some people would say that 2016 is finally over, but I have to say I’ve had a pretty good year. I’ve released more music than ever, worked painstakingly hard on my album (which will be ready for spring 2017, I promise!) and bought my first home!

But 2016 also included a lot of fantastic tracks, so I made a Mixtape for you guys!
