Come nerd with me again. This time I want to talk about the Pocket Operator from Teenage Engineering, which I find hugely entertaining. I have the Po-14 Sub, and I’m constantly playing with it. It’s a lot of fun on it’s own, but also so good for those times where you’re kind of stuck on something and need to get your head out of what you’re doing and a new creative vibe. This one has real synthesizer engines, as well as a sequencer with a deep bass-line sound. The Pocket Operators is a collection of in total 7 mini-synthesizer, they come with a 1 month battery time and two year stand by time. They also all have an animated LCD display. Mine is 49 $ at the Teenage Engineering web store, and I will probably invest in a couple more soon, as they’re so much fun.
