When you earn most of your money on gigs, like I do, you’re on the road very often. When you’re on the road that much, you’d like every place you visit to feel a little homey. And that’s why the rider was invented. The little things you need to make you feel a little better about being away from home. I’m not going to lie, it’s also a lot about alcohol.
I’ll let you in on my secret rider. I think the most important thing on my rider is the Kinder Egg. It’s tasty and keeps my Tour Manager busy for hours. Secondly, I need Red Bull. I don’t like to drink alcohol until after I’ve performed, so the Red Bull is essential to get me going. Third, I need towels (I sweat a lot, ew), and tooth brush and tooth paste. Those are like the main things that I need. I’ll admit, I might be a little vain, so to me feeling good equals performing well.
Other stuff I have on there is Prosecco and orange juice (so I can take Villa Mimosa with me everywhere), vodka, beer – you know, the usual stuff. Fun fact: I also have salsa on my rider, for internal joke reasons, but not tortilla chips. But everywhere I go, I still het tortilla chips. I guess people think I’ve made a mistake on my rider, and it makes me feel extra taken care of.
Long days in the studio does my blog no favors. I’m lacking new and interesting stuff to tell you guys about, so I’d thought I’d take you down memory lane for a minute. Also, Carl Louis new album is called Memory Lane, go check it out, it’s incredible.
Fun facts about The Stockholm Syndrome:

The guy in the video is Samuel, one of my good friends from New York. He runs a boxing bootcamp in Marseille these days, so if you feel like an active holiday, you should check it out.
This song is one of Thomas Hayes favorite songs.

We performed this live on TV, as the opening act for Norwegian Grammys.
Here in Norway, there’s an annual award show for the most influential bloggers, Youtubers and Instagrammers in the country. I’m no where near as good as a blogger as some of these people, but I was lucky enough to get to go to the party anyway. There was no prizes for me, but I got to have a lot of fun with some of my best friends.
The night ended with my girlfriend and a buddy of mine having a show down of gymnastics skills in the hotel corridor, which of course led to them both injuring themselves. But all in all, a good night 🙂
