The music video we’re doing while I’m here in the US, is for my next single ‘Never Wanna Lose You’. I’m going to keep the featuring artist secret for a little while longer, but what I wanted to tell you is about this jacket! Pontus of P & J Styling was so kind and got this customized for me for this music video, and I’m so happy with it. I’m crazy for anything customized, but this jacket is currently my number one customized piece of clothing!
I’ve been slightly off the grid lately. I was on the road for most of the easter holiday, and basically have had to jump from flight to flight. Currently I’m somewhere over the Atlantic, on my way to Los Angeles to film the music video for my new single coming out in early May! I’m so excited about this shoot, Frederic Esnault have put together a fantastic team, and my two featuring artists are absolutely fantastic. Pontus and Jens of P & J Styling have packed me a wild wardrobe and I’m crazy about one leather jacket I’m going to wear, which is customized by Norwegian brand Mardou & Dean. So do stay tuned for another while longer!
Finally Friday! I’ve had the most intense week, which also featured a bonding trip out of town with mye fellow The Voice mentors, Yousef from Madcon, Lene Marlin and Morten Harket. We had a great time at Refsnes Gods, and I got to try really fine wine for the first time (so far, the only fancy drink I’ve tried is fine vodka. There’s no fine wines in the club.) So apparently, I’m a wine person now!
This weekend I’m headed back on the road, and will visit Trysil for a show. Since it’s the first weekend of easter, I’m hoping for a great turn out.
Have a fantastic Friday!
When you earn most of your money on gigs, like I do, you’re on the road very often. When you’re on the road that much, you’d like every place you visit to feel a little homey. And that’s why the rider was invented. The little things you need to make you feel a little better about being away from home. I’m not going to lie, it’s also a lot about alcohol.
I’ll let you in on my secret rider. I think the most important thing on my rider is the Kinder Egg. It’s tasty and keeps my Tour Manager busy for hours. Secondly, I need Red Bull. I don’t like to drink alcohol until after I’ve performed, so the Red Bull is essential to get me going. Third, I need towels (I sweat a lot, ew), and tooth brush and tooth paste. Those are like the main things that I need. I’ll admit, I might be a little vain, so to me feeling good equals performing well.
Other stuff I have on there is Prosecco and orange juice (so I can take Villa Mimosa with me everywhere), vodka, beer – you know, the usual stuff. Fun fact: I also have salsa on my rider, for internal joke reasons, but not tortilla chips. But everywhere I go, I still het tortilla chips. I guess people think I’ve made a mistake on my rider, and it makes me feel extra taken care of.
The gig at Stavkroa was as fun as ever. Thank you to everyone who came out, and to Calle and his crew for the superstar treatment. Can’t wait to come back ❤

It’s such a pleasure to play in Hemsedal. This place does not only hold one of the wiildest afterskis in the world, but it’s also home to the best promoter and host, Calle. I love doing gigs in collaboration with him. He’s such a pro and great guy. Make sure you stop by Stavkroa or Hemsedal Café if you’re in the area!
Today we’ve spent some time getting ready for tonights show, which means drinking prosecco in the slopes, without actually getting any skiing done. Even though we’re avid skiers, we forgot to take our skis with us. Maybe thankfully so, as there was an avalanche in the slopes today (nobody was hurt), and with our luck we’d probably be the ones who got the blame for it.
Anyway, so ready for tonight!
I’m hitting the road again this weekend. Saturday I’m heading for the mountains to play a show at what is supposed to be one of the best after-skis in the world, Hemsedal. I’ve been coming to Stavkroa in Hemsedal for years and it’s tons of fun every time. Calle, the man in charge up there, is also one of the greatest people to work with, and we always come up with a great show together. If you’re in the area, I hope you’ll stop by!
